A Sewing Machine for Good
Lloyda is a single mother who worked odd jobs to support her 3 children. Jobs would come and go for her with long hours and minimal pay. She’s a bright and hopeful person who needed an opportunity to have stronger financial base for her family. She asked for Greater Good funding to be used to purchase a basic sewing machine to start a small fabric business. We gathered the funds and watched her use it to create a sustainable small business using her new machine. Her hard work made it possible for her to support her children’s education and provide a stable home for her family. Working with Lloyda taught us a lot about our Greater Good process, we look for ways to provide resources and tools which support the vision for individuals and families to help them thrive.
