ANGEL LADIMIRO VELASQUEZ
Angel grew up in Union Cantinil, Huehuetenango, Guatemala, where from a young age he learned how to harvest coﬀee with his family. He now owns and operates his own piece of the family farm and established a nursery, where he grows coﬀee plants from seedlings, producing several varieties of coﬀee throughout the year. Angel is a proud father of four and has been a member of the Association of Coﬀee Farmers of Union Cantinil (ASOCUC) since 2007.
Angel’s 2017 micro-lot for La Coop Coﬀee is part of his hand-picked harvest of the “Caturra” variety, grown at an altitude above 4,500 feet.
Cupping Notes: Cherry, lemon, blueberry, strawberry, red fruit, chocolate, lemon lime acidity, orange rind, some floral, rich, sweet, clean, good buttery body, well balanced.
