Centro Maya (Centro Maya Servicio Integral)

The Centro Maya Servicio Integral, a Guatemalan non-profit, is a leading institution in care, education, and social inclusion for people with special needs in Guatemala. The Centro Maya team advocates for families and individuals with special needs and provides physical and vocation therapy for individuals. Their innovative approach has spawned small businesses and created jobs for an overlooked population in the Lake Atitlan region. We’ve sought to provide practical support for this amazing organization and to introduce their programs to service group participants to the area. 

Introduced visitors to the Centro Maya staff, while assisting in physical therapy program for children with disabilities. We hired a local worker to build a wall for the dining area using materials purchased with donation from US Service groups.

Through a financial donation, the Greater Good Initiative provided key language programs for Centro Maya staff.
